Our Approach to Sustainability

We use archival inks and papers rated for 100+ years, offer biodegradable packaging, and work toward carbon-neutral operations—longevity is sustainability.

Materials and Process We use archival pigment inks and papers rated for 100+ years of colour stability. Longevity is sustainability. When prints are made to last generations rather than years, fewer resources are consumed over time.

We source locally wherever possible, reduce waste in our workflow and choose materials designed for lasting preservation. Our studio operates with a focus on efficiency and minimal waste throughout the production process. The boss likes to conserve heat in the studio, so we’re always in sweaters. 😊

Packaging We offer biodegradable shipping tubes, plastic-free and recyclable materials, glassine interleaving and fibre-reinforced paper tape. Standard packaging uses durable materials that may include some plastics for protection. Eco-forward options replace these with biodegradable and recyclable alternatives while maintaining protective standards. Availability may vary as we continue to refine our packaging program.

What We’re Working Toward We’re evaluating verified carbon offset programs for printing, packaging and shipping. While not yet certified as carbon neutral, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and exploring ways to make our operations more sustainable.

We use recycled cardboard tubes and cartons made locally to reduce transport emissions. Each print is wrapped in biodegradable glassine and sealed with paper tape and plant-based caps whenever possible. Our goal is to minimize plastic use while keeping packaging strong, lightweight, and responsibly made.

Responsible Materials

Our materials are chosen for both quality and conscience. Select papers are made from renewable fibers such as bamboo and agave, while all inks are water-based and non-toxic. The result is work that meets museum standards without compromising the planet.

Built to Last

Every print we produce is designed to endure. We use Epson archival pigment inks and certified fine art papers tested for longevity that often exceeds a century. Our goal is simple: create work that lasts for generations, not just years.
